Minimum Eligibility for applying to B.E/B.Tech Admission in Tamilnadu

Question :- What is the minimum eligibility to apply for Anna University Enginnering Counselling in Tamilnadu ?/ What is the eligibility criteriato apply Anna University Enginnering Counselling in Tamilnadu ?

Answer :- As per Anna University Official Notification we give the details here.

General Eligibility :- 

        Candidates satisfying the eligibilty rule as o last date of submission id application form. After the date shall not be considered.

Nativity:-

        Candidate who apply for the Anna university those must belong to Tamil Nadu,

1.Candidates belongs to Tamil Nadu :-
 
i) Candidate who studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII std. including Diploma in Tamil Nadu, need to not include the "Nativity Certificate",

ii) Candidate who studied any one of VIII, IX, X, XI and XII std.in other state they must include the
"Nativity Certificate" with the application for considering them as candidate belonging to Tamil Nadu.

iii)  If Application without proper Nativity Certificate for ii will not be considered for the counselling.


2.Candidates not belongs to Tamil Nadu( Other state Candidates ) :-

i) Other State candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. in Tamil Nadu, need not enclose the “Nativity Certificate” with the application.

ii) Sons / daughters of All India Service Tamil Nadu cadre Officers otherwise not native of Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply, But then need to enclose the proper Employer Certificate with application or native certificate.

iii) Children of Employees in public sector or Government Institutions who at the time of submission of application for admission employed in Tamil Nadu continuously for the pas five years may also apply for the Anna University Engineering Counselling,But then need to enclose the proper Employer Certificate with application or native certificate.

(3)  Srilankan Tamil Refugee candidates studying in Tamil Nadu will be considered under open competition as per

G.O. (St) No. 172 Higher Education (J2) Dept. dated: 29.06.2010. They have to enclose the following:

(i)       Identification from Head Quarters Tahsildar

(ii)      Those who have not registered in the refugee camp, they should submit passport and visa.

Foreign Nationals Candidates are not eligible for Anna University Counselling. 
If they want to join and study in Anna University. NRI Quota is available for them.

 Qualifying Examinations and Eligibility to Apply:- 

i)  HSC (Academic)/Equivalent 
     The Candidate who passed in 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subject.
  1) OC Candidate must secured more than 50% of the mark in aggregate.

  2) BC/ BCM / MBC & DNC / SC/ SCA / ST candidates must secured more than 45% marks in aggregate.

ii) Diploma

The candidate who passed 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central / State Governments.

1) OC Candidate must secured more than 50% of the mark in aggregate in all the semesters put together.

  2) BC/ BCM / MBC & DNC / SC/ SCA / ST candidates must secured more than 45% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.
